Brian Eno
Musician, composer

Brian Eno is a musician, composer, record producer, singer, writer, and visual artist. He is best known for his pioneering work in electronic and ambient music as well as his contributions to rock, worldbeat, chance, and generative music styles. A self-described "non-musician," Eno has helped to pioneer a variety of novel recording techniques and conceptual approaches while advocating a methodology of "theory over practice." He has been called "one of popular music's most important and influential figures. Eno first came to international prominence in the early ‘70s as a founding member of Roxy Music, followed by a series of highly acclaimed vocal and instrumental solo albums. His visionary production work includes albums with U2, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Coldplay and many others. His visual experiments with light and video continue to parallel his musical career with numerous exhibitions throughout Europe, the USA, Japan and Australia. A new album, The Ship, is released in April and is his first solo record since 2012’s Grammy-nominated LUX. The Ship coincides with a series of installations of the same name that will be exhibited around the world throughout 2016 / 17.
